For all you Olympic novices out there, here is how veterans do race day, courtesy of guest lecturer, 'Professor' Bernard Lagat.
“I’m having breakfast this morning and I noticed a lot of guys who I knew were going to be running today,” the four-time Olympian said. “They were all saying, ‘We’re going to push.’ I thought, ‘Great! All we need to know is the result from the first heat when we are lining up for the start and we’re good.’
