Arizona Basketball earned a top rank today in a list among other NCAA teams. But it wasn't for athleticism, it was for their money.

The Arizona Wildcats took the number eight spot in Forbes' List of College Basketball's Most Valuable Teams. Rankings for the list were determined by, "basketball revenue spent on athlete scholarships and other academic programming, profit kept by the athletic department to support athletic endeavors and conference revenue generated via NCAA tournament play. Valuations are based on revenues and expenses from the 2011-12 season."

According to the Forbes' list, Arizona Basketball has a current value of $19.5 million, made a profit of $12.4 million in the 2011-12 season and has increased in team revenue year after year by $2 million.

The Louisville Cardinals landed in the top spot of the list by having a current value of $38.5 million and earning a basketball profit of $24.6 million.
