Comet Pan-STARRS is staying up later, but it's getting dimmer even as the moon gets brighter, making it a tough catch.
Dean Ketelsen, of the Steward Observatory Mirror Lab and parttime night-observing guide at Kitt Peak, grabbed some nice images this past week, which are posted here.
The early evening sky will be dark later this month and the comet will be higher in the sky after dusk, making it possible to see it through telescopes during Kitt Peak's four comet viewing programs
Dates are Sat. March 30 through Tuesday, April 2 and the program runs from 4 p..m. to 8:30 p.m. each night.
