Democrat Ron Barber and Republican Martha McSally will square off in a debate Tuesday night at the University of Arizona.
The two contenders for Congressional District 2 will go toe-to-toe discussing the issues from 6-7 p.m. at the Arizona Student Memorial Center Grand Ballroom on the UA campus, 1303 E. University Blvd.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and seating is first-come, first-seated. People must be seated by 5:45 p.m. No signs are permitted in the ballroom.
The debate is being sponsored by Arizona Public Media, the Associated Students of the UA, and the Arizona Students’ Association. More details about the debate are available here.
Barber, who is the current U.S. Representative in Congressional District 8, is vying for a full term in the newly-drawn CD2. He won the June 12 special election to complete former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ term. McSally is trying to win a seat in Congress after a 26-year career in the Air Force in which retired as a colonel.
