U.S. Rep. Raúl Grijalva’s office will handle constituent services for U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ office, following Saturday’s shooting that left Giffords in critical condition.

Grijalva’s office will take constituent calls and his staff will be available to meet with Giffords’ constituents during normal business hours, Grijalva said.

Two of Giffords’ staff members, Ron Barber and Pam Simon, are recovering from gunshot wounds. Staff member Gabe Zimmerman was one of six people killed in the shooting Saturday morning. Giffords remains in critical condition, recovering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Giffords was hosting a “Congress on Your Corner” event at a northwest side Safeway when a gunman shot 20 people.

Grijalva’s Tucson office, 738 N. 5th Ave. Suite 110, is open for constituents in his District 7 and Giffords’ District 8. His staff is also available on the telephone at 622-6788.
