Pima County is finished with its vote tabulation.
In the end, 65 percent of area voters turned out for the midterm elections that retained both Southern Arizona congressional representatives, but made some changes in local legislative districts.
Statewide, voter turnout was holding at about 53 percent.
As of Tuesday afternoon, there were 30,000 early ballots to be processed statewide, with just shy of 60,000 provisional ballots to be tallied, the bulk of them in Maricopa County.
The last posting shows medical marijuana losing by about 3,000 votes statewide.
Legislative district 26, which covers the northwest side, will send newcomer Terri Proud, a Republican, to the state capitol. The second seat was retained by incumbent Republican Rep. Vic Williams, who garnered 32.8 percent of the vote to Democratic incumbent Nancy Young Wright’s 32.2 percent.
