A 66-year-old woman accidentally drove her car into a northwest side cleaners Wednesday night, authorities said.
The woman sustained minor injuries and was treated by Northwest Fire District paramedics before she was taken to a hospital, said Capt. Adam Goldberg, spokesman for the fire district.
Her 7-year-old grandson who was in the back seat of the car was uninjured, Goldberg said. He said both the woman and the boy were wearing seatbelts.
Shortly before 7 p.m., multiple 911 callers reported that a car jumped a parking curb and went into the Super Cleaners in Mountain View Plaza shopping center at the corner of North Thornydale Road and West Linda Vista Boulevard, said Goldberg.
The cleaners was next door to BTO Self Serve Yogurt shop, which is where the woman was taking her grandson, Goldberg said.
"As she pulled into a parking spot, she accidentally stepped on the gas instead of the brake pedal," he said.
Deputies with the Pima County Sheriff's Department investigated the crash.
