Representatives from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department will be collecting unused prescription and over-the-counter medications Saturday on the south side.

The Dispose-A-Med event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tablets, capsules, liquids, and creams will be collected in front of the Safeway grocery store at 2940 W. Valencia Road near South Cardinal Avenue. Metal or glass inhalation aerosol bottles, syringes and EpiPens will not be accepted. Nor will representatives accept drugs from commercial organizations.

The services is free and anonymous. No questions will be asked.
