A fire at a northwest side trailer park Saturday afternoon destroyed one home, but firefighters kept the blaze from spreading to other trailers.

Firefighters responded to multiple 911 calls of a fire at about 2 p.m. at a trailer park in the 4500 block of North Old Romero Road near West Ruthrauff Road, Capt. Adam Goldberg, spokesman for the Northwest Fire District, said in a news release.

“Crews arrived to find a single-wide mobile home well involved in fire,” he said.

The residents were not home when the fire broke out and Goldberg did not yet know the cause of the fire. The trailer was a total loss, but fire crews were able prevent the blaze from spreading to other homes.

It took about 25 minutes to bring the fire under control.
