"Now hear this!" shares personal stories, insights and resources about and for the hard of hearing (HOH) and deaf and their friends and family who may or may not have hearing loss themselves.
It is facilitated by members of the Adult Loss of Hearing Association (ALOHA) based in Tucson, AZ since 1984. ALOHA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been providing education, peer support, advocacy, and other assistance for deaf and HOH adults. ALOHA does not sell anything nor promotes any commercial products but advocates for Telecoils and Hearing Loops for all deaf/HOH. According to Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing (ACDHH) there are approximately 70,000 individuals with hearing loss living in Pima County alone. ALOHA reaches out to these individuals with assistance thus ensuring their participation in the mainstream of life.
The Adult Loss of Hearing Association is at 4001 E. Fort Lowell Road (just east of Alvernon), Tucson, AZ 85712. Find the group on Facebook
