More than 20 restaurants are contributing to Empty Bowls at Resurrection Lutheran, a charity event that will help Interfaith Community Services supply food to those in need.

The event, which organizers predict will draw 1,000 attendees, goes from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 16 at the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center, 1288 W. River Road. Restaurants are providing soup, bread, desserts and other foods. Admission is $15, and includes food and a hand-crafted bowl. Proceeds are 100 percent tax deductible and will go to the pantry the ICS runs for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. There will also be live music and bidding for pottery items.
