Oro Valley has decided to continue to let businesses display signs that violate town code.
At its regular meeting Jan. 15, the Oro Valley Town Council voted to allow use of A-frame signs, nonprofit signs and outdoor displays until Feb. 1, 2016.
The program, which began in 2011, is the town government's effort to help local businesses.
“Although our economy is beginning to recover, we are still on the mend,” said Oro Valley Mayor Satish Hiremath. “The two-year extension of the temporary relief program ensures continuity of this strategy as the economy continues to recover from the recession.”
