Marana district wins employee wellness award

Marana Unified School District won recognition from the Wellness Council of Arizona for its employee wellness program.

The district received the Progress Process and Leadership in Worksite Health Promotion award. Also, district employee and breast cancer survivor Pat LaPeruta was singled out for helping others make strides in living healthier lives.

MUSD's health program includes biometric screenings, flu vaccinations mammographies, fitness challenges and education.
