Jazzed-up church brunch supports elementary school

Dove of Peace Lutheran Church is holding its Mardi Gras French Quarter Jazz Mass and Creole Brunch.

The free event starts at 11 a.m. Feb. 10 at the church, 665 W. Roller Coaster Road, with a worship service, followed by a Creole brunch that includes red beans, sausage and jambalaya. The service will include a collection for students in need who attend Lulu Walker Elementary School.

Those interested in attending should arrive early, because the 300 available seats in the building are expected to fill up.
