“Broken Promises,” a 70-minute film about 12,000 Navajo people the U.S. government forced to move from their Arizona homeland, will play at a church as part of a discussion event.
The free event goes from 4 to 6 p.m. May 25 at Mountain Vista Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 3601 W. Cromwell Drive.
The church shows social justice films the fourth Saturday of each month. The film describes the relocation, which started in 1970 and continues today, as people are moved off their land for mining exploration. A discussion will follow the film.
