Nearly 40 high school bands will converge at Ironwood Ridge High School Saturday for the annual March the Ridge competition.

Thirty-nine high school bands from all over Southern Arizona will compete.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the football stadium at the high school, 2475 W. Naranja Drive.

The event is open to the public. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students and free for children 10 and younger.

There'll be plenty of food vendors, along with a bake sale.
