Catalina State Park is hosting a Star Party at 6:30 p.m. March 16.

Astronomers will be on hand to discuss elements in the sky and answer questions from guests, who will get to use telescopes to see star clusters, galaxies and nebulae.

To attend, meet at the main trailhead parking lot and bring water, snacks, a red light and warm clothing. The Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association is supporting the event.

The park's entrance fee is $7 per vehicle, which covers as many as four adults. Camping sites are also available for extra charges. The park is at State Highway 77 (North Oracle Road) at mile marker 81.
