Yesterday's 0.77" rainfall at Tucson International Airport has pushed the monthly total above the norm for July. The year's total precipitation, however, is still more than an inch below normal.

The airport, Tucson's official recording site, has had 1.78" of rain so far in July — 1.04" above normal. That brings the yearly total to 2.80".

According to totals from Pima County Regional Flood Control District, the rain gauge on Catalina Highway near the Palisade Ranger Station recorded the highest precipitation in the area yesterday — 1.77". There were a number of gauges around the city, however, that didn't record any rain.
