A daylong event Saturday will offer free help to people looking to buy federally-subsidized health insurance.
The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tucson Medical Center, 5301 E. Grant Road. Anyone who plans to attend must call ahead and schedule an appointment at 324-4745.
Tucson Medical Center has federally-certified application counselors who can help local residents enroll in health insurance available through President Obama's Affordable Care Act.
Anyone with questions or who needs help navigating the healthcare.gov website where Arizonans may enroll, can attend the hospital's Healthcare Marketplace Enrollment Fair.
To find your appointment location, park in the Emergency parking lot (additional parking can be found at the parking deck west of the Orthopaedic Tower.)
Enter at the West Entrance and check in at the volunteer desk.
TMC is hosting this enrollment session to assist in determining coverage and plan eligibility by helping people to submit information into the secure online Healthcare Marketplace. The marketplace will also determine whether applicants are eligible for Medicaid, a government insurance program for low income people.
