After the Star ran a story about Heather Thrall Roscoe and Jackie Boorse and their struggle with a rare neurological disorder yesterday, the women formed a support group.

Though idiopathic intracranial hypertension occurs only in one or two per 100,000 people in the general population, the article prompted several people in the Tucson area to reach out to Thrall Roscoe and Boorse.

Thrall Roscoe and Boorse say until this week, they had never met anyone else with the condition outside of each other.

So when they heard from others following the article they decided to take action and form a group.
