Northwest Healthcare will hold a drive-thru flu-shot clinic this Thursday, Oct. 24.

The shots are free to those 18 years and older.

The clinic is set for 7 to 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, at Oro Valley Hospital, 1551 E. Tangerine Road.

No appointment is necessary. One flu shot lasts the whole season. It becomes effective about two weeks after inoculation.

Patients should download and print necessary forms beforehand at www.northwestmedicalcenter.com or www.orovalleyhospital.com and bring the completed forms to the nurse administering the flu shot.

While the shots are free, patients are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food donation for the Catalina Community Food Bank.
