Sewers of Marana
Marana voters overwhelmingly approved letting the town run its own sewer system Tuesday by about 3 to 1 if it promises to flush and keep the seat down when it’s not in use. Additionally voters asked the town to give it a thorough scrubbing at least once a week.
The all-mail vote helps end a years-long dispute between the town and Pima County, who insisted on leaving the seat up.
After casting their ballots citizens were seen washing their hands before returning to work.
