A Tucson man who is accused of arranging a sexual tryst with an 11-year-old girl over Facebook used to be a registered sex offender.

According to court documents, the girl's mother found sexually explicit photos on her daughter's tablet on Dec. 29 and logged into the girl's Facebook account.

Once there, she found sexually explicit messages from a man calling himself "Ryan Aclown." In some of the messages the man offered the girl money to perform sex acts.

The girl initially told Aclown she was 16, but later admitted she was only 11. He still continued to proposition the girl, however, court documents state.

Jesus Ballesteros, 28, was arrested after a Tucson Police detective assumed the girl's identity on Facebook and he showed up at a pre-arranged meeting spot with condoms and a USB web camera.

Court documents indicate that when Ballesteros was 18, Pima County Superior Court Judge Howard Fell placed him on five years' probation after he admitted he molested a 10-year-old female relative.

The judge ordered Ballesteros to register as a sex offender. However, when Ballesteros finished probation in September 2007, his attorney asked the judge to "terminate his duty" to register as a sex offender saying Ballesteros was a juvenile when the acts occurred.

The judge signed the order Oct. 15, 2007.

Prior to being sentenced back in 2002, Ballesteros told a probation officer he was sorry for his actions and attributed it to "curiosity and stupidity."

Parents should call 911 or Detective Daniel Barry at 837-7596 if they believe their child had contact with Ryan Aclown/Ballesteros.
