A man convicted in Pima County Superior Court in August for sexual assault and impersonating a police officer was sentenced to 2 ½ years in prison.
Norman Adrian Alvarez was found guilty at trial of six charges including sexual assault, kidnapping, criminal impersonation and impersonating a police officer.
In two separate incidents in 2012, Alvarez, 22, approached three women telling them he was either a police officer or bounty hunter and had to speak with them about law enforcement issues.
He then groped the women or threatened to arrest them if they didn't have sex with him.
The sentences on the conviction will run concurrently.
