The Pima County Commission on Trial Court Appointments wants your opinion on candidates for the vacant spot on Pima County Superior Court's bench.
Here are the candidates: Lisa I. Abrams, Sean E. Brearcliffe, Michael Butler, Darlene Edminson-O’Brien, Brenden J. Griffin, Peter Hochuli, James W. Kaucher and Wayne E. Yehling
Citizens may address the Commission about any of the candidates on March 18 at 8:30 a.m. at the Tucson Police Department, 1310 W. Miracle Mile.
Public comment will not be accepted after the 8:30 a.m. hearing. Candidate interviews are open to the public and will follow the public hearing.
Written comments about candidates can be sent to the Commission at 1501 West Washington, Suite 221, Phoenix, AZ, 85007 or by email to jnc@courts.az.gov.
Written comments must arrive by March 14 to be considered. Anonymous comments cannot be considered.
After the interviews, the Commission will recommend at least three nominees for the vacancy to Gov. Jan Brewer, who will appoint the new judge.
The spot opened up after Judge Michael Miller joined the Arizona Court of Appeals.
