I just received this statement from the faculty senate at Central Arizona College:

>>

"The Faculty Senate of Central Arizona College has taken a vote of no confidence in current president, Dennis Jenkins. Seventy-five percent of eligible faculty participated in the vote, with 92.5% indicating they had no confidence in the ability of Jenkins to continue to lead the college. Six percent chose to abstain from stating an opinion, and less than 2% indicated confidence in the ability of Jenkins to continue to lead the college. The Faculty Senate will be reporting on the vote at the October 18, 2011 Pinal County Community College Board of Governors meeting. The results of and reasons for the vote of no confidence will be shared publicly during the Faculty Senate report."

The faculty senate outlined its concerns in a 4-page letter to the college's governing board. You can see the letter by clicking on the related document.
