A woman was taken to the hospital this morning after she was injured while diving into the Romero Pools at Catalina State Park, authorities said.

The Golder Ranch Fire District, Pima County Sheriff’s Department and Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to the area at about 9:10 a.m. after receiving the report of the injury, according to a Golder Ranch Fire District news release.

Rescue crews decided to use a DPS ranger helicopter to rescue the woman because of the location.

The woman, in her 20s, was flown to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
