Two Flagstaff-born restaurants are open today downtown:

Diablo Burger opened its Tucson outpost at 312 E. Congress St. on Saturday. It opens today at 11 a.m. for its first weekday lunch rush, so don't be surprised if there's a wait. What to expect: As it's name implies, burgers.  Diablo Burger is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, until 10 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and closed Sundays; 882-2007.

• Next door at 300 E. Congress St., Proper serves its first meals beginning at 3 p.m. today. What to expect: This is dressed up fare, from pork belly served with a parsley risotto to a crispy pork leg big enough to be shared. It's open daily for dinner from 3 to 10 p.m. Beginning Mother's Day on Sunday, it will serve brunch daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
