If jousters, jesters and jugglers are your thing, then sound the trumpets, grab your sword and head out to the 25th annual Arizona Renaissance Festival & Artisans Marketplace, which is opening Saturday.
This 16th century-style celebration has been offering a one-stop center of booths, food and entertainment for knights and ladies of all ages for a quarter century.
• When: The event runs Saturdays and Sundays through March 31 and Presidents' Day Monday (Feb. 18). Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. rain or shine.
• Where: The village is at 12601 E. Highway 60, in Gold Canyon. From Tucson, take Arizona 79 north to Florence Junction, then head west 7 miles on U.S. 60.
• Cost: Tickets are $22; $12 ages 5-12 (free for 4 and under); $19 ages 60 and above.
Parking is free.
