Foster homes needed• The Pima Animal Care Center is in desperate need of people to foster animals, especially mother dogs and cats with babies. The agency has received many pregnant and recently delivered dogs and it is at a critical stage to get them into homes for temporary care before the babies get sick. If you're interested, call the rescue line at 243-5987.• The Humane Society of Southern Arizona is holding a Foster Care Carnival from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Companions for Life Center, 3465 E. Kleindale Road. This festive celebration will highlight the work of foster volunteers and include games, refreshments, animals and experts on hand to answer questions.
