The recipient of this week's Ben's Bell is 9-year-old Larry Ronstadt.

Larry was nominated by Darci Slaten, who wrote in her nomination: "He definitely embodies what it means to be a kind individual - and at such a young age."

Larry, who has leukemia, just celebrated his birthday by giving away all of the presents he received.

"Larry donated all his gifts to Kids of Steele - the family auxiliary group of the Steele Children's Research Center," Slaten wrote.

The toys and games Larry donated will be given to the young patients cared for by Steele Center physicians at University of Arizona Medical Center pediatric outpatient clinics.

"I was profoundly moved by his generosity and kindness. Moreover, Larry regularly participates in Kids of Steele activities to help other children who are struggling with health problems and fighting disease," Slaten wrote.
