Wilfred Martin Greenlee 12/31/1936 3/11/2013
Marty Greenlee grew up in San Diego, CA. He earned a BS in Math and Physics, and Master's and PhD in Math at Kansas Univ. He married Nancy Longwood in 1962. The family moved to Chicago in 1966, where he joined the faculty at Northwestern Univ. They came to the Univ. of Arizona in 1971. Marty had a successful career, with numerous research publications, and lectures at centers in Europe, Canada and the US. He was a prof. emeritus at the U of A and remained active in academics throughout his life. He was a commander in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He was also an avid hunter, Civil War aficionado and wine connoisseur. Marty is survived by his wife, Nancy; their three daughters, Rebecca ('65), Sarah ('71) and Mary ('72) and six grandchildren. He will be sorely missed. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Catalina United Methodist Church. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
