JACOBSEN, Arthur Kenneth, on April 4, 2013, Arthur departed this earth to be with his Creator. Art was born August 10, 1920, to Nicholas and Anna Jacobsen in Chicago, IL. He had three sisters, one of whom survives. He married his first wife, Florence, in October, 1942, shortly before enlisting in the Army. He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant and served with distinction in the Pacific theater where he received two purple hearts. Art and Florence lived in Chicago and raised three children. Most of his working career was spent at A.B. Dick Company in Niles, IL. Florence pre-deceased him in 1976. Art married his second wife, Margaret, in 1981 and, after retiring in 1982, relocated with her to her Tucson home. Margaret pre-deceased Art in 2007. Art was a loving husband, devoted family man and reliable community member and friend. He will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind: sister, Evelyn; three children, Kenneth, Dennis and Kathy; eight grandchildren, three great- grandchildren and his special companion, Lorraine Bird. Art will be buried next to his wife Florence in Chicago, IL, during a family only service. No service will be held in Tucson.
