Harold G. Carstensen, M.D.
loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on February 20, 2013. "Hal" was born March 18, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from Bethany College, West Virginia and the University of Chicago Medical School. He served as a Lt. Colonel in the US Army for eight years during the Korean War. Hal was a physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology for 47 years, beginning his practice in Tucson. He and his wife, Linda made Harlingen, TX their home in 1975. He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Todd (Phyllis), Scott, Tara and Kira Carstensen and Lisa (Charles) Cherrington; his grandchildren, Courtney, Eric, Kalie, Meagan, Tracie, Jon, Dan, Carsten, Chase and Caden and his great-grandchildren, David, Rebekah, Sydney and Sarah. In lieu of flowers, Hal requested donations to be made to The Humane Society, or simply, to do a good deed for another.
