Elissa G. Pones
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elissa "Lee" Pones, on March 20, 2013 in Tucson, AZ. She was born on March 25, 1916 in Melrose Park, IL, daughter of Charles and Bennadetta (Riggi) DiMaria. Elissa was preceded in death by her spouse, Joseph Pones; her parents, three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her three children, Frank Pones (Delores), Joseph Pones (Shelly) and Marian Thayer (Alan); grandchildren, Frank Pones, Steve Pones (Julie), Kireina Thayer, Sara Gaines (Ryan) and LaDonna Feist; great-grandchildren, Lexi and Logan Pones, Lauren, Emily, Jack and Lily Pones, Austin, Colby and Mackenzie Gaines, Frankie Thayer and Morgan and Logan Kinkade and many nieces and nephews. Elissa "Lee" will be deeply missed. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2013, at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Mass will be offered, 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2013, at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S. Kolb Rd. with burial to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
