Edward L. Lindsey

99, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on February 9, 2014. He was born in Bearden, Arkansas on March 24, 1914. Edward graduated from Dickinson College where he majored in Political Science and Economics and received a Master of Arts. Edward fought in the Korean War and served as an infantry officer in the US Army from March of 1942 and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in May of 1962. He also spent six years as a Professor of Military Science and was the Department Head at West Texas State University in July of 1962. Edward was also the creator, organizer, and Director of the Pima County Adult Education Division of County Schools in Tucson, Arizona. Edward is survived by his wife, Andrea and his two children, Robert and Christine. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Mary Helen Lindsey. Survived by his two daughters, Debbie and Barbara. He was also preceded in death by his son, Wayne. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Mother of Sorrows on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with a graveside service to follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery.
