CLARK, Jacquelyn W., 90, of Rye Beach and Tucson, Ariz., died Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Landon Place of Dover. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, January 28, 1923, the daughter of the late Harold F. and Ethel G. (Gliffe) Woodyatt. Mrs. Clark was raised in Chicago, Ill., attended the University of Arizona and in her earlier years modeled at Marshall Fields, Chicago and later in New York and Tucson. She was also an accomplished artist, painting in oils, acrylics and water colors. She was extremely artistic, enjoyed decorating and had a keen sense for design. She summered at Rye Beach since 1978 and was a long-time resident of Tucson. She was the wife of the late Thomas T. Clark, Jr. who served as president of Tucson Newspapers Inc. He predeceased her in 1987. She leaves her longtime friend and faithful companion, Joseph A. Hammond of North Hampton; two sons, Charles C. Lewis, II of Tucson, Richmond D. Lewis of Santa Fe, NM; two daughters, Gay G. Miltenberger of Springfield, Mass., Lorinda L. Bloch of Miami, Fla. and three grandchildren, Charles C. Lewis, III, Clifford G. Scott, W. Judson Miltenberger. She also leaves five great-grandchildren. Private Services will be held in Tucson.
