Charles Calvin Taylor

age 75, died peacefully on April 19, 2013 at Devon Gables in Tucson after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Charles was born January 10, 1938 in Terre Haute, Vigo, Indiana. He is survived by his children and grandchildren from his first marriage to Constance Dimmick: Charles Scott and Kelly Elizabeth; grandsons, Cole and Clayton; sisters, Sharon Ann and Carol Rae. Also survived by his wife, Irma Taylor and stepchildren, Valerie, Darlene and Marlene; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Charles was a graduate of Tucson High School and attended U of A. Before going to work for his good friend George at Kalil Bottling Company as production manager, he worked in construction and contributed to the building of Green Valley, Double Tree Hotel, local mines and other large projects in Tucson. He enjoyed horseback riding in his early years. He was a Wildcat fan and also loved to travel. His gentleness was seen in many ways and he will be greatly missed. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Mabel Taylor. A Memorial Service is planned on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL SOUTH LAWN, 5401 South Park Avenue, Tucson, AZ.
