Photos: Counting Southern Arizona's homeless population

More than 200 volunteers canvassed 30 sites – from shelters and churches to desert campsites and street corners – on Jan. 23 and 24 as part of the annual Street Count that is organized by the Tucson Pima Partnership to End Homelessness. The count is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to estimate federal funding disbursement to cities for homeless services.
