Photos: Giant leatherback sea turtles

The giant leatherback sea turtle is making a comeback in the Caribbean, and that's sparking a tourist boom in long-stagnant fishing towns. The extinction of the leatherback had seemed certain, before Trinidad and other Caribbean countries took pains to protect the reptiles and their eggs. Now, hundreds of the turtles emerge from the sea every night during the height of nesting season to lay their eggs and head back into the water.
