In this five-minute, 47 second audio file, you'll hear the approach of the Pima County SWAT team to the home of Jose Guerena, the shouted commands, a brief siren and the barrage of gunfire that killed the former Marine inside his home on Tucson's far southwest side. Guerena, 26, was hit by 60 bullets after team members said he pointed a rifle at them as the door was breached. The audio was taken from a 58-minute file released by the Sheriff's Department on Thursday in response to a public records request. This portion of the audio starts about two minutes into the file.
