DON'T MISS: "THE 70TH ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS" - It may not be Hollywood's most prestigious awards show, but it's almost always the most fun. Keeping things light, fast and loose this year are first-time co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, former "Saturday Night Live" pals, who will lead us through a glittery (and possibly boozy) celebration of outstanding achievements in movies and television. 6 p.m. today, NBC.

OTHER BETS

TODAY: After a freshman season that drew both raves and rants, Lena Dunham's irreverent sitcom, "Girls," returns with more 20-something angst and sexual shenanigans. The Season 2 opener of "Enlightened" immediately follows. 10 and 10:30 p.m, HBO.

TODAY: In the Season 3 opener of "Shameless," Frank (William H. Macy) awakens in a strange place, which isn't so strange for him. The season premieres of "House of Lies" and "Californication" follow. 10 p.m., Showtime.

MONDAY: "The Carrie Diaries" dares to imagine what Carrie Bradshaw was like before she started sipping Cosmos and dating Mr. Big. AnnaSophia Robb stars as our young, fashion-loving leading lady in this "Sex and the City" prequel. 7 p.m., The CW.

MONDAY: "Continuum" is a new sci-fi crime procedural that transports officer Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols) from 2077 to 2012 to deal with eight deadly terrorists who managed to slip through a time warp. 9 p.m. Syfy.

TUESDAY: "Pioneers of Television" opens its third season with a fond look back at some of the medium's funniest women. Included: The final interview with Phyllis Diller. 8 p.m., PBS.

TUESDAY: What's bigger than "Chopped"? "Chop-ped Champions." Four top winners vie for a $500,000 prize, starting with an appetizer round that challenges them to make something tasty with haggis. 11 p.m., Food Network.

WEDNESDAY: "The Voice" and "The X Factor" may have grabbed their share of attention, but "American Idol" continues to lead the way in star power and pop-chart impact. It returns with three new judges: Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban, who join Randy Jackson on the panel. 7 p.m., Fox.

THURSDAY: Bad boy Charlie Sheen returns tonight in "Anger Management," and if things go as planned, he'll be in 89 more episodes after that. You've been warned. 10 p.m., FX.

FRIDAY: "Fringe," the mind-bending sci-fi freak show, comes to a close with its 100th - and final - episode. Enjoy it, but please don't ask us to explain it. 7 p.m., Fox.

SATURDAY: Actress Jennifer Lawrence, riding high on the success of "The Hunger Games" and "Silver Linings Playbook," serves as host of "Saturday Night Live." Musical guests are the Lumineers. 10:29 p.m., NBC.
