OK, so it's not exactly Lisa Simpson who's hitting J. Gilbert Footwear Saturday. Which is no surprise for anyone who watches the animated show "The Simpsons." The brainy kid isn't exactly known for her fashion sense. After all, she has only one pair of shoes (and, between you and me, those red maryjanes are a little too Birkenstock-y).
But actress Yeardley Smith - the voice of Lisa Simpson - designs much chicer kicks. The spring collection of her Italian-made Marchez Vous is available at J. Gilbert Footwear, 7041 N. Oracle Road in Casas Adobes Plaza. The actress herself will be at the store from 1-4 p.m. Saturday.
Come say 'hi' and pet Smith's shoes, which are known for their uniquely cool fabrics as well as being stylish and comfortable.
