Arii Sylvers will be part of the soldout audience at tonight's Ed Sheeran show at the Rialto Theatre.

The St. Gregory College Preparatory School student has been a die-hard-fan of the indie rocker since stumbling upon him on YouTube a couple summers ago.

"I think what made me notice him was how honest his songs were, and how he wasn't like most singers who are out now who all sing about the same things," the 15-year-old aspiring music journalist said.

Arii got a chance to pose six questions to the artist, who answered via email early this week after his Grammy performance Sunday with Elton John.

What is your process when you're writing a new song? Do the lyrics come first, or does the melody come to you before you write the lyrics?

"Melody usually comes first."

How do you feel about performing at the Grammys and being on stage with Elton John?

"A very humbling experience. He's been so great to me but I never expected to be on a stage with him like that."

Who would most like to collaborate with or write music for?

"Beyonce."

I'll be turning 16 this year. If you could go back in time and give your 16-year-old self any advice, what would it be?

"Believe in yourself and follow your dream."

Since you'll be performing in Tucson on Valentine's day, what has been your most memorable Valentine's? Are you a Valentine's day Scrooge, or do you go all out?

"Depends on my situation at the time ... I have been known to go full on romantic in the past."

Finally, if there was a zombie apocalypse, what would you do?

"Get out my shotgun."
