On June 29, Bob Dobbs, 2501 E. Sixth St., will tap into its brew prowess for a beer-tasting fundraisier to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and its campaign to fight blood cancers.
This will be Bob Dobbs first beer-tasting event. Participants will sample five beers from around the world and nibble on snacks. There's also a raffle and a shot at a door prize.
Here's the cool thing: It's come as you are when you want between 1 and 4 p.m June 29. The cost is $20.

• Noble Hops, 1335 W. Lambert Lane, will host a Sleepy Dog Beer Dinner on Tuesday, pairing different beers from Tempe's Sleepy Dog Brewery with four different dinner courses.
The first course will be a spinach salad with a glass of Monje Azul Belgian Blonde, followed by an orange glazed salmon and Tail Chaser American India Pale Ale.
Grilled pork chops come next, with a Red Rover Irish Red Ale. The grand finale will be a Wet Snout Milk Stout paired with a Nutella tart.

• Hotel Congress continues its summer beer tasting series Saturday with a focus on Arizona beers.
For $20, you get to sample five Arizona brewing companies, including the Mother Road Brewing Co. in Flagstaff, the Prescott Brewing Co., the Mudshark Brewery in Lake Havasu, and The Four Peaks and Sleepy Dog breweries from Tempe.
