The Abbey is rolling out a new dinner menu today that will delight fans of its original Abbey burger.

The burger is back by popular demand and it joins other seasonal newcomers like the smoked duck bruschetta appetizer prepared with poached pear, crescenza cheese that’s drizzled with a blueberry-pinot syrup; and a filet of beef carpaccio appetizer served with addictive house-made potato chips.

New to the entree menu: wild mushroom and sorrel lasagna with house-made fazzoletti pasta and a cast-iron ribeye steak taking the place of the butcher’s steak that has been on the menu since the restaurant opened in 2010; , which has occupied a popular space on the menu since the restaurant opened in 2010.

On Sunday, the Abbey makes its brunch debut. It's served from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Abbey, 6960 E. Sunrise Drive, is the second restaurant of chef-owner Brian Metzger, who also owns and operates Jax Kitchen on the northwest side. Hours: 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and Sundays; until 10 p.m Fridays and Saturdays. Brunch is from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sundays.
