F. Mazda Shirazi, the medical director of the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center at the UA College of Pharmacy, will speak at a crime writers meeting Saturday about poisoning as a cause of death.

Despite its name, Tucson Sisters in Crime is open to anyone interested in mystery writing.

Rhys Bowen, a best-selling author of the funny and sexy Royal Spyness series and the award-winnning historical Molly Murphy mysteries series, will also speak on how to capture a reader's imagination.

The meeting is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Viscount Suite Hotel, 4855 E. Broadway, and includes a lunch buffet. The cost is $25; RSVP and pay at www.tucsonsistersincrime.org

Tucson Sisters in Crime will also have a booth at the Tucson Festival of Books.
