February 21, 2013 12:00 am

David Wood and Stephan Pastis, two of the authors in the Star Pavilion at the Tucson Festival of Books, March 9-10, will be online at live.azstarnet.com chatting with readers today and Friday.

• Noon today: Wood, of the Huffington Post, spent eight months on his Pulitzer Prize-winning "Beyond the Battlefield" series on the severely wounded of Iraq and Afghanistan.

• 1 p.m. Friday: Stephan Pastis, author of the comic strip "Pearls Before Swine," in which his sweet, simple drawings belie the cartoon's complexity and edgy themes. He has a children's book, "Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made."

Go to live.azstarnet.com to take part in either - or both - chats. The chats are also available on the Star's mobile and iPad apps.

If you can't attend the chat live, you can post your questions now and come back afterward and read the transcript.
