Phoenix restaurateur Aaron May is taking his fledgling The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen concept to Sierra Vista.
He hopes to open later this month in a former My Big Fat Greek Restaurant, which was owned by May's longtime business partner Ryan Field.
May, who with Field owns the nearly three-year-old May's Counter Chicken & Waffles on East Speedway and North Country Club, opened the first Lodge Sasquatch in late December in a shuttered My Big Fat Greek at Foothills Mall. May spent several weeks before opening remodeling the building to look like a hunting lodge.
The concept builds on May's Scottsdale sports bar/restaurant The Lodge, which serves a kicked up bar menu that includes a behemoth bacon cheese burger housed between a pair of grilled cheese sandwiches.
