Matt Russell is taking his “On the Menu Live” radio show to Loews Ventana Canyon Resort’s Flying V Bar & Grill on Saturday.

Russell will chat with the Flying V staff about springtime eats. The restaurant’s special that day — when Tucson could experience its first 80-degree day in months — is the springtime medley of a salad featuring sea bass, mussels and scallops, with corn, fennel, garlic, potatoes and tomatoes.

Expect to hear Russell also delve into the two foods he used to hate as a child but loves them now. What are they? You’ll have to tune in to KNST 790 AM at 4 p.m. or scoot down to the Flying V to catch the show live.

Russell’s guests on Saturday are Flying V Chef Josh Willett and Rick Riddle, who owns the new Bear Track Bistro & Winery on Sunrise and Swan.

Flying V is located at 7000 N. Resort Drive. Details: 299-2020.
